On Friday January 8 residents of the District woke to a lightly-snow-covered city. The OCL Group hosted a leadership circle at the Carlyle Suites Hotel, near DuPont Circle in downtown Washington, D.C.
With Raj Chawla, Christiane Frischmuth, and Mark Addleson facilitating, a group of nine invited local leaders, from various businesses and non-profit organizations came together to discuss their challenges as leaders and to learn about Results-Based Leadership.
Participants included:
-
Michelle Abboud of AWS
-
Jason Bernhardt-Lanier of Ashoka
- Christina Best of Legg Mason
- Debra Kahn, of Wells of Love Program and Amman Imman
- Patrick Meskell of Silver Diner
- Carla M Roach of Innovation Center for Community and Youth Development
- Mark Robinson of NeighborWorks America
- Caby Versoza of The World Bank Institute
Raj facilitated part of the session on Leading and Aligning for Results and Christiane took the participants through a framework for action based on alignment of self<->role<->system.
In between, the participants discussed the results they wanted and engaged each other on questions of alignment and commitments to action. The photos on the following pages tell more of the story.
